Special  Issue

The upcoming Special Issue of Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry (JIPH) will honor Professor Peter Comba upon his retirement from Heidelberg University in Germany. This issue coincides with the 14th International Symposium on Nano & Supramolecular Chemistry (ISNSC-14), held in Santiago, Chile, from August 31 to September 3. Established in 2007, the symposium occurs annually across various countries and continents.

Following ISNSC-14, ISNSC-15 will be held in Bali, Indonesia, in 2025, and ISNSC-16 will be hosted in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2026. To enhance the reputation and impact of JIPH through this Special Issue, the guest editors encourage participants to submit their manuscripts before and after the symposium. Additionally, Prof. Comba's colleagues and former students are invited to attend ISNSC-14 and contribute their manuscripts. This Special Issue will focus on interdisciplinary topics that align with the journal's scope.

Guest Editors

Yang Kim

Yang Kim is a visiting academic at Kumamoto University in Japan and an emeritus professor at Kosin University in South Korea. His current research focuses on the preparation and applications of organic/inorganic hybrid compounds that respond to external stress. He is also interested in synthesizing and applying macro/macro-polycyclic ligands and their metal complexes, as well as studying uranyl ion coordination polymers with polycarboxylate and zwitterion ligands.

Mauro Mocerino

Mauro Mocerino is a professor at Curtin University, Australia, and an Australian National Teaching Fellow. His research interests lie in supramolecular chemistry/nanochemistry and chemistry education. He focuses on the design and synthesis of molecules for specific non-covalent intermolecular interactions, such as crystal growth modification, corrosion inhibition, hydrogenation, chiral recognition, and drug-protein interactions.
